The Leeston Consolidated School enrolment scheme has been in effect since November 2009 From that date all children who live within the zone shown on the map below are entitled to enrol at Leeston Consolidated School. Children living on both sides of boundary roads are within the home zone. From time to time we have places available for out of zone children. Applications for these places will be considered in accordance with the Ministry of Educationfs instructions relating to the operation of enrolment schemes. The home zone of Leeston Consolidated school is the area within the boundaries of: • East from the Selwyn Rakaia Road, following the Selwyn River boundary to the shoreline of Lake Ellesmere. • Around the shoreline of Lake Ellesmere and across the gravel bar at the lake outlet to the ocean shoreline. • Along the ocean shoreline to Taumutu Road • Along Taumutu Road to Washbournes Road • Along Washbournes Road to McConnels Road • The shortest direct line from the intersection of McConnels Raod and Lakeside Road to the intersection of Harts Road and Bealey Road • Along Bealey Road to Southbridge Leeston Road • Down Southbridge Leeston Road to Cowans Road • Along Cowans Road to the seven-way intersection at Feredays Road • Along Tramway Road to Irwell Rakaia Road • Along Irwell Rakaia Road to Belton Road, Watsons Road • Along Belton Road, Watsons Road to Boundary Creek Road • Along Boundary Creek Road to Rakaia Selwyn Road Proof of residence within the zone may be required.
